HK45 History

Initially, HK made the first polymer pistol in the 1970s. Afterwards, the USP40 (.40 S&W) was released in 1994, and this was followed by the USP9 ( 9mm) and the USP45 ( .45 ACP). Subsequently, H&K made the HK45 to compete in the US Military’s Joint Combat Pistol and Combat Pistol programs. Thus, H&K built on the very reliable USP45 and added several improvements to make the HK45 pistol.
